Join Cardiff & District Law Society and Cardiff Dogs Home in beating the January Blues at our charity event.
We have teamed up with Cardiff Dogs Home and its Rescue Hotel – one of our President’s charities of the year, to organise an event on Sunday 21 January at Revolution in Cardiff. This is both a fundraiser and a fun event to brighten up January.
Anyone with a dog will know the positive impact they can have on your wellbeing. Dogs are known to help people to alleviate stress, anxiety, depression and loneliness. January is often a tough month for people, so we hope that this event will help ease the January Blues. And you never know, you may even meet your new housemate!
What to expect?
An informal afternoon with CDLS and The Dogs Hotel. This will be a chance to catch up with your local law colleagues, some new four legged friends and hear from volunteers for the charity.
The Rescue Hotel will be bringing some of their residents along for a meet and greet, so you can expect some pup cuddles!
There will also be a raffle. If you want to donate a prize to the raffle then please send an email to admin@cardifflaw.org.
Who can join us?
Everyone is welcome! The charity are used to holding these events for families with children of all ages. Our event is a family event so please do feel free to bring your children. Please just let us know how many will join us on the day.

Book now
There are two steps to booking.
1. As this is a fundraising event, we politely ask that you please make a donation when you sign up. You can donate at tiny.cc/CDLSDogs.
The suggested donation is £10 per person and £20 per family. There will also be the chance to donate via raffle on the day, and we will release information beforehand on supplies the Home desperately needs in case you wish to bring some along to donate.
2. Email admin@cardifflaw.org to secure your place.
About The Rescue Hotel
The hotel is based out of Cardiff Dogs Home. The Home has been increasingly busy, having to house more dogs than it can comfortably fit. It is expecting to get even busier as they head into a renovation of the kennels (please sign up to foster if you can!) and with the law changing on XL Bullies. They desperately need donations, supplies and volunteers. You can find more information about the hotel and the charity, here.
