Join Cardiff & District Law Society for this free, virtual event to discuss the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route to qualification and whether it is achieving the goal of increasing access into the legal profession.
We will be discussing how employers can support candidates through the SQE process and the current challenges being faced by both candidates and employers alike.
As the traditional route to qualification via the Legal Practice Course (LPC) is phased out, we will discuss the SQE assessments and how the standard expected of candidates has changed.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions to the panel at the end of the discussion.
Our Panel
- Charity Mafuba – Solicitor, New York Attorney Counselor-at-Law and Commissioning Editor at Legal Women UK
- Jonathan Marsh – Lecturer and future SQE course Leader at Cardiff University
- Jacqui Gower – Chief Operating Officer, JCP Solicitors
Who should attend?
This is a free event open to members and non-members alike. We would like to hear from a range of students, SQE candidates and employers.
