Cardiff & District Law Society, in collaboration with JLT Speciality Services, are hosting this FREE seminar to provide you with essential insights on how to transform the often negative attitudes to risk and compliance and to save your firm money in the long-run.
A recent review by the Lloyd's insurance market has identified England and Wales lawyers as one of the main causes of syndicate losses.
JLT Speciality Limited reports, through its own statistics and those produced by Professional Indemnity insurers, that claims and complaints against lawyers generally arise from generic risk issues rather than getting the law wrong. Apart from emerging new risks, like cyber, the causes of claims and complaints do not really change from year to year.
With that in mind, JLT believes it is possible to reduce exposures and the costs associated by raising risk awareness amongst fee earners including partners. Lawyers manage the risk of their clients' transactions everyday but sometimes they miss some of the obvious risks they face in their own firm.
This event is ideal for Partners, Heads of Department, Senior Associates and Compliance Officers as well as Practice Directors.

Delegate feedback from a previous event:
“I was very impressed with the sessions Colin ran for us: a potentially 'dry' subject was dealt with humour, interaction and a quick pace resulting in the key messages being absorbed by the attendees. I would thoroughly recommend Colin for anyone running risk management sessions for their organisations."
OUR GREATEST THANKS to The Law Society Wales office for providing the venue for this event. We are incredibly grateful for its continued suppport of CDLS and our members.
